Writers’ Panel

Earlier this month, it was my pleasure to be on a writers’ panel at the Celebrity Fan Fest at Freeman Coliseum, San Antonio, TX. I enjoyed talking about the writing process along with my fellow panelists. It was awesome and I enjoyed being part of this event.

L to R: Authors Lupe Ruiz-Flores, Kimberly J. Brown, Genese Davis, San Antonio Poet Laureate Ocatavio Quintanilla

Right now, I seem to be blocked in my writing. Some say writers’ block doesn’t actually exist. Hmm …. I have been so super busy lately that my writing time has suffered.  It is hard to resume where I left off last time. So … I decided to read for pleasure today and see if I can get back on track. I am reading an intriguing middle-grade novel, a book that I bought a while back and added to the stack I already have. Today … I read!!

Speaking of writers’ block, Nathan Bransford’s blog addresses this topic, How to Get Over Writers Block.

Celebrity Fan Fest

I will be a panelist with other authors and poets at the Celebrity Fan Fest on Sunday, June 16, 2019. It is being held in San Antonio.

It’s always a pleasant surprise when I see comments like these on my Twitter Feed:

Today we read “The Battle of the snow cones””La Guerra de las raspas” and my 1st graders absolutely loved it! So we decided to make our own snow cone stands and food trucks!
